I design for movement, balance, and everyday performance.

I’m a Canadian apparel designer focused on movement-led, performance-informed design. My work explores how clothing supports the body in motion, balancing structure and softness to create garments that feel intuitive, functional, and considered, while maintaining clarity in function and design intent.

My perspective has been shaped between Vancouver and Toronto, and through close collaboration with manufacturing partners across Asia, including a period in Taipei working directly with factories and production teams. This hands-on experience with sampling, construction, and development continues to ground how I approach design and execution.

I work across performance wear, lifestyle, ready-to-wear, and tailoring. I move fluidly between sketching, fittings, and development as part of a continuous process focused on fit, proportion, and material balance.

In 2021, I founded Jo Studios as an independent design practice developing collections from concept through production, with an emphasis on clarity, functionality, and intentional design systems.

My experience includes contributing to Canada Goose’s inaugural capsule under Haider Ackermann, an environment that reinforced my focus on performance, craftsmanship, and collaborative development.

Across my work, I’m drawn to the relationship between structure and movement, intentionally shaping garments with balance with quiet precision.
